Accordingly, office users may create separate networks for different departments. Home users can create a password-protected network for family members and a non-restricted network for guest visitors. Parental control is another advanced feature. Users can dynamically filter websites based on keywords and web addresses that may be unsuitable for minors.

For wired networks, the Encore Wireless N Router and Repeater can also serve as a Fast Ethernet switch with four 10/100 Mbps Full-Duplex ports. Users can directly connect up to four computers or other network-enabled devices, such as print servers and network attached storages (NAS). The ENHWI-2AN3 utilizes the latest Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) technology to improve signal coverage. Users will encounter fewer deadspots. ENHWI-2AN3 also supports Quality of Service (QoS) and bandwidth control. Data such as audio and video streaming, IP telephone, and online games will receive higher transmission priorities and are less susceptible to time lags.
